If you’re in Mendoza and your computer doesn’t detect your location correctly, it can almost always be fixed by turning on Wi-Fi, even if you’re connected to the internet by cable (Ethernet). On a PC or Mac, location verification is based on Wi-Fi.
Do I need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network?
No. For Betano Mendoza to verify your location on any device, you don’t need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network. Your device must be able to detect several nearby Wi-Fi networks, so Wi-Fi must be turned on, even if you browse using a cable (Ethernet). Turning on Wi-Fi doesn’t change how you connect: you can continue browsing using a cable.
If your computer doesn’t have Wi-Fi, it can’t accurately identify your location, and Betano Mendoza can’t verify it properly from that device. In that case, you have two options: use a cell phone or tablet, or connect a USB Wi-Fi adapter to your computer.
What else to check if your PC or Mac doesn’t detect your location correctly
If Wi-Fi is turned on and your PC or Mac still doesn’t detect your location correctly on Betano Mendoza, check the following:
- Location services: They must be turned on, and your browser must have permission to use them. The steps are in “How to turn on location services in Windows” and “How to turn on location services on Mac (macOS)”.
- VPN or proxy: Turn off any VPN or proxy that you have active. The steps are in “Can I play on Betano Mendoza with a VPN or proxy?”.
- Browser: Close it completely, reopen it, and go to Betano Mendoza again.
If the problem continues, see “Why can’t I verify my location?”, which includes all the steps to follow when your location can’t be verified.
